Damaging a strong foundation

Tour of Homes Showplace Now

Chronic health problems have kept me from holding a job or contributing to the upkeep of our yard the past few years. My husband needs to work long hours preventing him from regularly attending to yard maintenance. Instead of a budget for somebody else to care for our landscaping needs we had medical costs and the unexpected breakdown and replacement of car parts, an entire central air conditioning unit, and the clothes washer and dryer.

Our grass and flower bed is virtually choked out by dandelions and a handful of other weeds; the boxwoods the previous owners planted against the wall are out of control, practically smothering the outdoor unit for the a/c and hiding one rose bush completely; saplings have taken root against the foundation of the house; fungus is trying to destroy some plants; and fire ant (to which I am deathly allergic) mounds abound. Please help us.

Loaded wrong pic for "Damaging a strong foundation." This is behind back porch: small sapling, boxwoods hiding rose bush, fire ant hills, weeds, and lack of grass. Meant to show mimosas voluntary and large Bradford Pear against front of house. Thanks

Oops! My pinky hit enter instead of shift before I was finished editing our entry, and when I tried to resubmit it never showed up. Our home is in Warner Robins (my husband is an Air Force war veteran). We have two daughters and a dog. See next entry
