Back yard from side

Too much for one person!

Please rescue my lawn! I live in Bibb County and more than two years ago I had to have land grading work done to correct a drainage problem that was damaging my home's foundation. Since then I have worked very hard to get grass growing in both my front and back yard, both by sprigging and seeding. Since I am doing all the work alone, most of the bare ground is on a slope or hill, and professional landscaping service is simply not something I can afford I haven't had much success. In fact all the grass seed I planted washed away! The sprigging worked better, but not by much since many of the sprigs (I planted hundreds that I collected from my parent's house). The pics show areas I have worked on for over two years. The lack of grass, pitiful shrubs and water erosion issues make my yard look awful. Then there is the dirt that gets tracked into the house . . . Between work, maintaining a house and trying to maintain the rest of the yard that is not right next to the house, it has been impossible for me to make any headway. It would be wonderful to have a better lawn so my grandchildren can enjoy playing in my yard when they visit and my yard won't continue to wash away. Thanks!
