Not everyday at work does Garth Brooks walk through the door. Thursday night, he did just that and gave two sisters the surprise of their life! McMichaels Pizza located in Monticello Ga just off the square is full of music memorabilia, local history pictures and a few autographs, but none like the one that will hang on the wall now. Thursday evening Mr.Brooks walked in and said he would like to place an order and proceeded to order 6 various pizzas, he then asked if he should pay then or when he came back to pick them up, my sister told him that it didn't matter, so he went ahead and paid for them, left a tip and asked her if she needed anything from the grocery store!? How crazy is that, Garth asking you if you need anything from the grocery store! Tracey just kind of laughed and replied " No, I don't think I need anything" Mr.Brooks then said again, "are you sure? I can bring you an ice cream or something? My sister laughed and said jokingly " well an ice cream sandwich would be good". Mr.Brooks left and was gone for about thirty minutes and returned, setting a box of ice cream sandwiches on the counter! Mr. Brooks then looked around at all of the memorabilia on the walls as he waited a few more minutes on his order to be ready. I (Melissa) then asked If he minded if we got a picture with him, Mr.Brooks laughed and replied "I look like crap" we just laughed and said "well we do to"! What a super nice down to earth human being, I have always heard he was like that and now I can say first hand that he is!
