Jackie Stripling singing "The Fireman"

My name is Jackie Stripling. I am from McIntyre, Georgia. I am married and have 3 children. I am 47 years old. I have been singing and playing music for 42 years. I started playing drums at age 5 with my family group and at age 8 I began to play bass guitar. I love music and I love singing and playing. I have played with several groups in my life from Southern Rock-N-Roll, Blues, Country to Gospel. I have played in bars, fairs, Opry Houses, and Churches. I have opened for Gene Watson, Georgia Satilite, and Ronnie McDowell. I played in Toomsboro, Georgia at Swampland Opry with Razzy Bailey before he made his first record. I have traveled around all over Georgia and Alabama playing with different groups. I have been in a jam session with Fred Robinson who was Percy Sledge's lead guitar player. Music has been my whole life. I am related to the late Uncle Ned Stripling, who had his own TV show on Channel 13 called Uncle Ned and the Hayloft Jamboree.
Music is a very important part of my life and I am honored to go and play when I am asked. I am not a stanger to the music world.
I would love the chance to see how far I can make it in this competition. Would be an honor to win it.
I am not sure of the information that is needed so I am going to include my home phone number, 478-946-2358. Thank you for the chance to enter this competition.
Sincerely,
Jackie Stripling

I am Uncle Ned's nephew and it was my mother who taught him how to play the piano and he taught her how to play the guitar in the 1920s. Several years after this he became a local star. My mother was his sister named Mabel Stripling who died in 1980
