If you're an avid hunter, there's a new tool to help you out and it's all in the palm of your hand.

If you're an avid hunter, there's a new tool to help you out and it's all in the palm of your hand.

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources now has an official app. Sportsmen can now access weather and licensing information, boat ramp locations, maps of public wildlife areas, a calendar of events and much more.

The GPS technology can even allow you to track your friends' locations and mark trails with photos.

The app is free and available for iPhone or Android users. Just search "Georgia Hunting Guide."
