A storm that's dumped several inches of snow on the Washington area has stranded some passengers at Reagan National Airport.

A spokeswoman for Delta Air Lines says it has canceled its 15 remaining flights Thursday from Reagan National.

An airports authority spokeswoman said Thursday that crews at Reagan National and Dulles International Airport are working to clear snow.

She said there have been many delays and cancellations, although flights have been taking off and landing all afternoon and evening.

Among those stranded on the tarmac for hours were Margret Daly of St. Petersburg, Fla., who traveled to Washington to bury her husband, a World War II veteran, at Arlington National Cemetery on Friday. Airport staff plan to provide blankets to those who must spend the night.
