Severe Weather tore through central Georgia Monday night spawning severe thunderstorm warnings for several hours. The storms left behind a trail of damage that will force some central Georgia residents to spend their Tuesday cleaning up.

A mobile home was destroyed about 2 miles west of Gresston at about 2:30 a.m. where at least one person suffered life-threatening injuries, according to preliminary reports from The National Weather Service.
Nearly 30,000 Georgia Power customers are without electricity in Middle Georgia, said spokesman Jim Barber.
"This has been a very significant storm across the state with about 187,000 customers out," Barber said at about 3:45 a.m.
In Macon, 17,400 outages were reported; 10, 624 in Milledgeville; 1,400 in Dublin and about 350 in Hawkinsville, Barber said.
Because Alabama and Florida were also hit hard, relief crews will not be available from those states to assist with Georgia outages.
Barber estimated it will be at least midnight Tuesday before service is restored in all areas.
As of 3:20 a.m., there were 8767 Flint Energies members without power this morning, according to a news release from the utility company.
Bibb County authorities report trees blocking I-16, Briarcliff Road at Boulevard, Boulevard at Laurel Avenue, Forest Hill Road near Laura Ann Place, Greentree Parkway at Lake Wildwood, Mulberry Street at Spring Street, Maynard Street in Fort Hill and Liberty Church Road near the railroad tracks.
Trees are also blocking New Forsyth Road near the Shoppes at River Crossing, a tree is down on a house on Sunrise Drive and power lines are down at Zebulon at Forsyth roads and on South Lizella Road.
Scattered power outages are reported with downed wires across several counties.
The National Weather Service recorded wind gusts of up to 29 miles per hour in Macon at about 2 a.m.
Preliminary storm reports indicate a tree crashed down on a house with people inside on Georgia Kaolin Road in Twiggs County, but no one was hurt.
Another tree was reported down on Crestwood Circle in Centerville along with numerous reports of downed trees in other parts of Houston County.
Numerous trees are reported down in Reynolds, Crisp County and Sparta.
Small limbs and debris also litter the roads across the area.
