In Macon, the worst of the damage seems to be concentrated in the Forest Hill Road area, between Vineville Avenue and Wimbish Road.
Numerous trees were downed in the estimated 60 mph-plus winds.
Macon Parks and Rec. also reported that the scoreboard at Freedom Park was blown down.
According to Georgia Power, at 9 p.m. Monday, just over 1,300 customers were without power.
Large hail was also reported in parts of Houston county, including Centerville and Perry. At the Houston county 911 center, a tree was struck by lightning, setting it on fire.
Fortunately, during tonight's severe weather, no injuries have been reported.
According to Chief Meteorologist Jeff Cox, a cold front will slide south into central Georgia Tuesday, likely sparking another round of storms. He says the biggest threats will be heavy rain, frequent lightning and gusty winds.
