Local Emergency Managers are urging caution along area creeks, streams and rivers as more rain moves towards central Georgia.
Officials in Monroe, Bibb, Jones, Butts and Jasper counties are urging everyone to err on the side of caution and to stay out of local rivers until they have receded.
There are numerous dangers due to the fast moving water and with more rain forecast, river levels are forecast to continue to rise.
Mayor Reichert has announced that the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail in Macon is closed until further notice due to flooding concerns. Officials are advising everyone to stay away from area creeks, streams and rivers until waters recede later in the upcoming week.
