BOSTON (AP) - Many of the major highways in Massachusetts are clear today, but a lot of the secondary roads are still slick. And at intersections, mountains of snow are obstructing the views of drivers.
New England is trying to work its way back to normal, after a storm that dumped more than two feet of snow.
Snowfall records fell yesterday -- with Boston getting a one-day record of 11.6 inches. More than three feet of snow piled up in the Massachusetts community of Savoy.
Meanwhile, four days after it got its share of the same storm, Atlanta is still struggling to recover. Subfreezing temperatures are keeping ice on the roads. Across the Atlanta area, schools are closed for a fourth day.
