Firefighters have been inordinately busy with many of the calls they've responded to turning out to be false alarms.

Fire Department officials say the smoke is coming from a controlled burn conducted by the Georgia Forestry Commission in Jones County.
Wind is carrying the smoke into the downtown Macon area.
The department says it will continue to respond to each and every call made by concerned citizens.
