Ga. woman hospitalized after tree falls on car

Authorities say a woman in DeKalb County has been hospitalized after a falling tree landed on her car.

DECATUR, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say a woman in DeKalb County has been hospitalized after a falling tree landed on her car.

WSB-TV reports the unidentified woman was driving north on Clifton Road near Emory University when a large pine tree fell over and landed on her car Wednesday morning.

A neighbor told the television station they could hear the woman screaming from inside the crushed car shortly after the tree fell on top of it.

Firefighters cut the woman from the car and police say she was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.
