Ga. couple awakes to tree crashing into bedroom

A large tree has crushed the roof of a home in metro Atlanta and nearly landed on a sleeping couple.

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. (AP) - A large tree has crushed the roof of a home in metro Atlanta and nearly landed on a sleeping couple.

WSB-TV reports the tree fell onto a house in Sandy Springs around 4 a.m. Thursday and some of its branches landed in between a couple as they slept in their bedroom.

The television station reports high winds factored into the incident.

No serious injuries were reported, however the woman suffered minor scratches to her face.
