Violent storms have claimed the lives of at least seven people in Georgia, including a father and his four-year-old son.

JACKSON, Ga. (AP) - Violent storms have claimed the lives of at least seven people in Georgia, including a father and his four-year-old son.

In Dodge County, 45-year-old Christopher McNair of Cochran died after a tornado destroyed a mobile home, sheriff's officials said.

Rescuers Tuesday uncovered the bodies of 28-year-old Alix Bonhomme Junior and his son, Alix the Third. They died when a tree crashed onto their bed in Jackson.ΒΌ

Authorities say an unidentified Irwin County man was also killed when a tree struck his home.

In Colquitt County, a county worker, 56-year-old Ronnie Taylor, was driving his truck early Tuesday when it struck a tree, killing him. A 47-year-old old prisoner, Robert Kincaid Junior, was struck by a tree and killed Tuesday while doing storm cleanup work in the same county.

In Atlanta, police said a man was killed Tuesday morning when a tree fell on his car in northwest Atlanta.
