StormTrack Central's team of meteorologists hosted the annual fall conference between the National Weather Service and members of the media from north and central Georgia Tuesday.
StormTrack Central's team of meteorologists hosted the annual fall conference between the National Weather Service and members of the media from north and central Georgia Tuesday.
The goal of the conference was to educate and to further develop the relationship between National Weather Service meteorologists in Peachtree City and broadcast meteorologists from around the Peach State.
The National Weather Service is quick to accept help from StormTrack Central's meteorologists and from NewsCentral's viewers.
Commenting on the conference, Lans Rothfusz, the Meteorologist in Charge in Peachtree City said, “We are a team (and) to be able to come down and share notes, compare notes and do our job better, to help you do your job better on the TV. side, is what it's all about.”
Topics discussed ranged from communication between the National Weather Service and local media to severe weather to the upcoming winter forecast.
