First 90s of the 2010

Jeff Cox

Macon recorded it's first 90 degree reading of 2010 on April 5th.  If you thought it was a bit too early for the 90s, you are right!  After thumbing through the record books, we found that Macon's first 90 or higher, on average, occurs May 2nd.  Reliable temperature data goes back to 1930 for Macon.  April 5th's 90 degree high makes it the third earliest 90 or higher in Macon history.  The earlier 90 or higher reading in Macon dates back to March 10, 1974.
