19 year old Courtney DeRieux enjoys hitting the gym.
Courtney says," I definitely have started to learn loving to work out."
But Courtney says it hasn't always been easy.
"Last year at school I definitely did not make time for it. I thought oh I don’t have to worry about it," said Courtney.
But her worries grew when she put on a few pounds. So she decided to sign up with Pink Physique in Macon to start living a healthy lifestyle.
Courtney says, "Just on my own I tried eating vegetables. Nothing really worked until I came to the pink physique."
She's not the only one who struggles with her weight. According to nutrition specialist and Pink Physique Owner Alli Kerr, it's a problem most people face. Kerr says it all boils down to good old fashion healthy eating and exercise.
Kerr says, "A lot of people are doing exercise and not getting the results they want or they think that they are eating the way they should, or they are trying to diet or cut back and they are not getting results.”
Kerr says losing weight is not about dieting.
“A diet, when I think of a diet I think of something that I’m going to do for a certain period. And what we want to do is teach clients how to eat and balance so they can do that forever,” said Kerr.
Kerr has been working with Courtney for the past two months. So far Courtney has lost 10 pounds.
Courtney says," At the end I just gave up the whole dieting thing which is why I love the pink physique it’s not a diet it’s a lifestyle."
