Edwin Cook has been named the new boys' basketball coach at Tattnall Square Academy.
Cook has 25 years experience teaching and coaching in the Georgia Independent School Association.
At Brentwood Academy, he led the basketball team to a state title. Cook served as assistant coach during Gatewood Academy's perfect 58-0 record, and he coached Bulloch Academy to two consecutive regional titles.
Cook was also named GISA AAA State Coach of the Year.
"Coach Cook has a proven track record as a coach and leader among his peers," Todd Whetsell, Tattnall athletic director, said in a statement. "He is well known and respected throughout the state, and his wealth of experience will add depth to our basketball program. I am sure he will guide our students and families toward the accomplishment of our athletic goals."
"I am thrilled to have Edwin Cook join the TSA family as the leader of our boys' basketball team," said Brenda Shuman-Riley, head of school. "I look forward to great things for our students in this sport, as well as all the programs that Coach Cook will touch."
