EAST POINT, Ga. (AP) — Prosecutors say a woman accused in the death of an East Point police officer was angry that she had ended their relationship.
WSB-TV reported that (http://bit.ly/19y7qRO ) Danielle Parker appeared in court Wednesday for a probable cause hearing and was charged with malice murder in the death of her ex-girlfriend and former housemate Crystal Parker.
Parker was found fatally shot inside her house in early July. The slain officer's house was burglarized weeks before her death, but the judge didn't find probable cause to charge Danielle Parker with burglary or theft.
Police have said text messages to Crystal Parker's co-workers and emails to her new girlfriend pinpointed Danielle Parker as a suspect.
Public defender Stanley Constant asked if prosecutors considered whether Crystal Parker was targeted by someone she had arrested.
