MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) — Police in suburban Atlanta say the principal of a private Lutheran school faces a charge of child molestation.
Cobb County police say 57-year-old Jack Duane Hibbs of Marietta was the principal of Faith Lutheran School on Lower Roswell Road in Marietta at the time of the alleged crimes. Police said a teenage boy told police he was molested by Hibbs at a residence in east Cobb County. Police didn't say whether the boy was a student at the school.
Police said Hibbs is jailed on four counts of aggravated child molestation. Jail records do not indicate whether he has an attorney.
Hibbs is listed as principal for the 2012-2013 year on the school's website. An email sent to the address listed there and phone calls to the school weren't immediately returned.
