A Macon man was arrested Tuesday night on charges of robbing a woman at knifepoint.
Macon Police officers responded to a call from a woman on Ell Street who told them she had come home to find a man dressed all in black waiting for her outside her apartment. The man pulled a knife, threatened to kill her and demanded money.
The man took the keys to the woman's car, pulled her debit card from her wallet and drove away in her car.
Police issued a lookout for the car and found it not far from the apartment. When he saw them, the man left the car and ran. Officers chased the man into a creek and arrested him.
Officers ran a check on the car and found out it was the vehicle stolen from the woman. The victim’s debit card and other items worn during the armed robbery were found during a search of the creek.
Darius Algernon Tucker, 21, was charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and burglary and was transported to the Bibb Law Enforcement Center. This is his third arrest in Bibb County.
