Slive used part of his annual address opening SEC media days Tuesday to reiterate his push for athletes to receive the total cost of attendance and stress the importance nationally of "innovative leadership to slash through our Gordian knot."

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — A judge has issued an arrest order for former professional wrestling champion Ric Flair for not paying his estranged wife more than $32,000 in spousal support. The Charlotte Observer reports Flair, whose real name is Richard Morgan Fliehr, was ordered to pay $4,000 a month to Jacqueline Beems, who's filed for a legal separation.
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — NASCAR has reinstated former Sprint Cup crew member Jackson L. Dodson II after he completed its "Road to Recovery" policy. Dodson was a mechanic on Clint Bowyer's car when he was indefinitely suspended from NASCAR on May 9 for violating the sanctioning body's substance abuse policy.
