ATLANTA (AP) — A judge in Atlanta is set to hear about a child custody battle between R&B singer Usher and his ex-wife. Tameka Foster Raymond requested today's hearing after the former couple's 5-year-old son got caught in a pool drain while in the care of the Grammy winner's aunt. Usher was awarded primary custody of their two boys early last year.
SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — A New York man charged with trying to extort money from embattled celebrity cook Paula Deen is scheduled to appear before a federal judge to change his plea. Thomas George Paculis is to appear this afternoon in court in Savannah. He has pleaded not guilty.
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) — Gwinnett County police say a 17-year-old boy charged with vehicular homicide in his father's death has been released on bond. Police say the teen did not have a driver's license and his father's license had been suspended for failure to appear in court on a seat belt violation and for driving on a suspended tag.
ROSWELL, Ga. (AP) — Searchers will return to the Chattahoochee River as they continue to look for the body of a missing swimmer. The man was last seen around 4:30 Tuesday afternoon swimming from a boat near Don White Park in the Roswell area.
