For many civilian workers at Robins Air Force Base, Friday marked the second of eleven unpaid days off due to federal budget cuts. But as the weeks with a 20% pay cut add up, so do attempts to help impacted employees.
The 21st Century Partnership is holding a special S.H.A.R.E. Event in August to help federal workers and anyone else that is struggling with a tight budget.
It takes place in two weeks on Friday, August 9th. Community experts and workers will come together to deal with everything from utility, financial, and health concerns, to mental health, marital, and financial counseling.
They will also have health screening services, information on at-home or small business ideas to help you bring in more money, and even information on ways workers can volunteer to help others on their off days.
The event is Friday, Augusts 9th, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Courtyard Marriott Ballroom at 589 Car Vinson Parkway in Warner Robins.
