GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Safety Morgan Burnett has signed a long-term contract extension with the Green Bay Packers. NFL.com reports the deal is worth $24.75 million over four years. In three seasons with the Packers, Burnett has 244 tackles and six interceptions.

HAMPTON BAYS, N.Y. (AP) — Nets coach Jason Kidd pleaded guilty today to a misdemeanor drunken driving charge, nearly a year after he smashed his Cadillac SUV into a utility pole on eastern Long Island. Kidd, who retired as a player after last season, was placed on interim probation by the judge.
