LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) — Gwinnett County police say a 17-year-old boy who was charged with vehicular homicide in his father's death has been released on bond.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Thursday (http://bit.ly/16xr0J1) that the teen was released from the Gwinnett County jail on $4,250 bond earlier this week.
Authorities have said the teen was driving the family's SUV on April 20 when he lost control on a curve, ran off the road and crashed. Police have said the teen's father was ejected through the windshield when the vehicle overturned.
Police have said the teen did not have a driver's license and his father's license had been suspended for failure to appear in court on a seat belt violation, and for driving on a suspended tag.
The Associated Press typically doesn't identify juvenile crime suspects.
