July 26. 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. FEED THE CHILDREN — PepsiCo, Feed The Children and Compassion Atlanta have partnered to bring two tractor-trailers filled with enough food to help 800 Atlanta area families. Volunteers will distribute 25-pound boxes of food along with products donated by PepsiCo s Frito-Lay, Quaker, Propel and Tropicana brands to families who present a voucher onsite during the event. Local retailer Walmart will also donate fresh produce. The boxes are designed to help a family of four for up to one week. Compassion Atlanta has already identified families that will receive assistance.

July 27. ALL DAY. GEORGIA GROWN FARMER'S SHOWCASE — Agriculture Commissioner Gary W. Black announced that the Georgia Grown Farmer's Showcase will be returning on Saturday, July 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Showcase events are aimed at increasing the consumer retail experience at the Atlanta State Farmers Market (ASFM) as they bring together farmers and producers with consumers in the metro region.

July 28. SAFETY AND HEALTH FAIR — Federal authorities are teaming up with a Hispanic construction organization in Georgia to hold a construction safety and health fair for construction workers and their families.
The U.S. Department of Labor s Occupational Safety and Health Administration said in a statement that it is working with the Georgia Hispanic Construction Association to sponsor the event on Sunday at the Santa Fe Mall in Duluth.
OSHA staff plans to hand out Spanish-language publications and to answer questions about on-the-job safety and health issues. There will also be some free construction-related workshops, classes and discussions.

July 28. 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. TRAYVON MARTIN RALLY — The Georgia State Conference NAACP (NAACP) and Trained To Go Motorcycle Club (TTGMC) Derrick Boazman, Talk Show Host of Too Much Truth and Civil Rights Activist along with other Supporters is urging the Department of Justice to file federal charges, including civil rights charges, against George Zimmerman for the murder of Trayvon Martin. The groups have organized a motorcade and rally on Sunday afternoon.
