The former Director of the Division of Family and Children Services in Wheeler and Telfair Counties pleads guilty to racketeering. Authorities say while Valaree Dubberly was employed with DFCS, she opened business credit card accounts with Walmart in the name of the Telfair and Wheeler County offices; plus, she bought gift cards and reloaded them with funds.
She allegedly stole more than $10,000 from January of 2005 to October of 2007. Dubberly was sentenced to 5 years probation, 250 hours of community service, and a $1,000 fine.
