"Dracula: The Ballet" is coming to Milledgeville,m as part of a two-day residency of the Atlantic City Ballet Theatre.
The residency, Oct. 8 and 9, will conclude with a main stage performance of the ballet on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 8 pm in the Russell Auditorum on the campus of Georgia College & State University.
Tickets for the performance are $15. Georgia College students are admitted with their Bobcat ID. Ticket prices for members of the Friends of Allied Arts are $12.00.
In addition to the Oct. 9 performance, the residency in Milledgeville will include a master class for dancers enrolled in the GCSU Dance Minor Program and two performances for students at Baldwin High School.
Eighteen dancers from the GCSU Dance Minor program will join ACBT on stage for the performance of “Dracula: The Ballet”.
“Dracula: The Ballet” premiered in the fall of 2006. Phyllis Papa's choreography is based on the story of Bram Stoker's Dracula.
The Atlantic City Ballet Theatre’s residency in Milledgeville is supported in part by the Georgia Council for the Arts through the appropriations from the Georgia General Assembly. GCA is a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
