Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested three men on charges of breaking into a number of cars in north Bibb County.
On Thursday night, investigators arrested Camden Ashley Jones, 18, of Macon; Daniel Christopher Mermann, 19, of Macon, and Blake Griner Davis, 19, of Macon.
Investigators said Mermann attempted to cash a check that had been stolen from one of the vehicles. Macon Police worked with sheriff's deputies to identify the three.
Investigators also said they recovered stolen items from the homes of Mermann and Davis, and from Jones’ vehicle.
Investigators believe the three may have been involved in other theft cases and continue to investigate.
Jones was charged with seven counts of entering an auto. Macon Police charged Jones with one count of criminal attempt entering auto and two counts of entering auto. Jones was released Friday on $13,000 bond.
Mermann was first charged with seven counts of entering auto and one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana. Macon Police charged him with two counts of forgery. Mermann is being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Complex on a $14,000 bond.
Investigators added a charge of burglary to Mermann during magistrate court Friday afternoon. Macon Police Property Detectives also added charges of two counts of criminal attempt entering auto, two counts of entering auto, and one count of forgery. Mermann remains in custody of the Bibb County Law Enforcement Complex with a bond of $21,925.
Davis was charged with seven counts of entering auto. Macon Police also charged Davis with two counts of forgery and one count of being party to a crime. He was originally released Friday morning on $13,450 bond.
Investigators arrested Davis a second time Friday afternoon on an additional charge of burglary. Macon Police also added charges of two counts of criminal attempt entering auto and two counts of entering auto. Davis was being held Friday afternoon at the Bibb LEC on $13,650 bond.
