The Bibb County Sheriff's Office has made an arrest in connection with a July 7th armed robbery.
Investigators caught up with 35-year-old Samuel Mathis Dixon, III around 11:30 a.m. Friday. He was wanted for a personal armed robbery at the Villager Lodge on Harrison Road. 26-year-old Javier Carranza was visiting a friend when a group of male suspects dressed in all black approached him and demanded money. It is believed that Dixon hit Carranza with a handgun after they took cash and other items from him.
Dixon is currently being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, without bond for the charges of Aggravated Assault and Armed Robbery.
