An Amber Alert issued Wednesday evening for a missing Bartow County girl ended in Macon less than 2 hours later.
14-year-old Amber Harrison was reported missing by her parents around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and was reported to be with a 20-year-old male.
Amber was thought to be in a white Range Rover. It was spotted by a citizen at the Country Inn and Suites on Arkwright Road in north Bibb County. Deputies with the Bibb County Sheriff's Office responded immediately. Upon their arrival, the driver attempted to leave but deputies blocked him in and drew their weapons while conducting a felony traffic stop.
Bartow County deputies tell WGXa that Harrison took her parent's Range Rover without permission and went to Dallas, Georgia to pick up 20-year-old Justin Cooley. The two were joy riding across the state until they were found in Macon.
Cooley is not facing charges and was released on the scene. Harrison was unharmed and was being held until her parents picked her up Wednesday night.
