ATLANTA (AP) — Federal prosecutors say three Decatur men have been sentenced in series of armed bank robberies.
Prosecutors said Wednesday that 21-year-old Torrey Marable was sentenced to 27 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release. Officials say 22-year-old Rico Blackwell was sentenced to 11 years and five months in prison, and Jason Blackwell was sentenced to seven years in prison.
Authorities say the three robbed banks in Atlanta, Dunwoody and Marietta along with Deandre King — a fourth accomplice who's scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 28.
Investigators say the men were looking to rob a bank in Austell in September 2012 when police stopped the car they were in. Authorities found them with surgical masks and guns within reach.
