Shootings in Ga. bar leave 1 dead, 6 injured

COLUMBUS, Ga. (AP) - Police in Columbus are investigating two shootings at a crowded bar that left a 24-year-old man dead and six other people injured.

The Ledger-Enquirer of Columbus reports Charles Foster Jr. was fatally shot in his chest during an altercation inside Majestic Sports Bar around 2:15 a.m. Officials say between 12 and 15 shots were fired in the bar. Police say five other people were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Shortly after that incident, a gunman fired at someone sitting inside a car in the club's parking lot. Police say the victim has been treated and released, and additional information on the victim's age and gender was not immediately available.

Police are searching for more information on the suspects in both shootings.
