Police search for 15 people in shoe store break-in

NewsCentral Staff

ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta police say they're searching for about 15 people suspected of breaking into a shoe store and making off with clothing and sneakers.

Police tell CBS Atlanta that a security guard at a nearby business noticed a Dodge Intrepid slam into the front of Foot Locker store on Metropolitan Parkway shortly before 3 a.m. Monday

Police say around 15 people then entered the store and stole the items in what authorities describe as a smash-and-grab crime.

The abandoned Dodge Intrepid was reported stolen out of Clayton County.

Police say a getaway vehicle after the crime appeared to be a dark red Chevy pickup truck with a light bar on the back end.
