Police probe driveway robberies outside Atlanta

LILBURN, Ga. (AP) - Police are investigating after a man was robbed in his driveway, the second such crime in the Atlanta suburb of Lilburn in less than two months.

In the latest driveway robbery, a 54-year-old man arrived at his home in Lilburn around 11:30 p.m. Jan. 9 and was attacked and robbed by two masked men.

The victim told police that one of the men grabbed his arm while the other hit him on the head with a pole or stick. They took his keys and wallet.

The Gwinnett Daily Post reports that it was the second driveway robbery in Lilburn in recent months. On Nov. 28, another man arrived home and was approached by a man, who robbed him and shot him once in the buttocks.
