Police looking for burglars posing as tree crew

ROSWELL, Ga. (AP) - Roswell police are searching for a crew of burglars who are posing as a tree trimming company to get into homes.

WSB-TV reports that the crew targeted an 82-year-old woman in early January.

A man knocked on the woman's front door and said he needed to see her property because he was trimming trees in a neighbor's yard.

Authorities said the man lured the woman into the backyard, and then apparently called others who robbed her home.

The thieves stole a $7,000 diamond ring and her late husband's wedding band.
