LAGRANGE, Ga. (AP) - Authorities have released the names of five people killed in a head-on collision that injured two others southwest of LaGrange.

Georgia State Patrol officials say both drivers died in the Friday night crash. They were identified as 28-year-old Willie L. Hooks; and 23-year-old Melanie Kay Lemmon, both of LaGrange.

The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer reports that three passengers in Lemmon's car were also killed. They were identified as 1-year-old Quamauri C. Harrison; 37-year-old Miranda L. Hurston; and Tridarius Harrison, whose age was unavailable.

The State Patrol said Hooks was driving a northbound Oldsmobile Cutlass and was passing a vehicle in a no-passing zone when his car collided with a southbound Pontiac Grand Am being driven by Lemmon.

Two more people were critically injured and airlifted to hospitals in Atlanta and Columbus.
