ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta police say a man stole an airport shuttle, drove off and fired at officers who were chasing him.

The incident started at about 3:15 a.m. Sunday, according to a report by CBSAtlanta.com.

Police say the man asked taxi drivers and an airport shuttle driver for a ride to College Park. They turned him down. He pulled out a gun and ordered the shuttle driver off the bus.

He rammed a taxi as he drove off. The shuttle also hit a transformer, setting off a small brush fire.

Officers from Atlanta and Clayton pursued the suspect. The man fired at police but didn't hit anyone. He was captured a short time later. No airport operations were affected.

The identity of the man has not been released.
