HAPEVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Police are investigating the slaying of a man attacked on a street south of Atlanta in an apparent armed robbery.
Hapeville police tell CBS Atlanta that the man and a woman were walking on Dorsey Road shortly before 10 p.m. Tuesday, when they were approached by two armed men.
Police say both victims attempted to flee the scene, and the man was shot. The female victim was uninjured. Police say the suspects drove away in a white compact car.
Investigators have not released any information on the victims or any possible suspects.
Hapeville is about seven miles south of downtown Atlanta.
