CANTON, Ga. (AP) - Authorities in Cherokee County say a Little River Marina employee has been killed in a forklift accident.
Sheriff's Spokesman Lt. Jay Baker says authorities were called to the marina near Lake Allatoona in Canton around 11:20 Wednesday morning and found 21-year-old Josh Roberts, of Woodstock, dead. Baker says the man was crushed by a forklift, although it is unclear what he was doing at the time of the accident. Baker says the forklift is typically used to remove boats from storage at the marina.
Baker says the Occupational Safety and Health Administration - a branch of the Department of Labor - is investigating and foul play is not suspected.
Canton is about 40 miles north of Atlanta.
