NewsCentral Staff

ATLANTA (AP) - Three Atlanta relatives have each been given consecutive life sentences in a child sex abuse case.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports 45-year-old Thomas Johnson, his 46-year-old sister, Maryland, and her 32-year-old daughter, Crystal, were sentenced Wednesday in Fulton County Superior Court.

The three were charged with sexually abusing three children between 2004 and 2009. Prosecutors say the children were forced to perform sex acts on the three, and two of the victims were prostituted.

Crystal Johnson was sentenced to five consecutive life sentences plus 150 years. Maryland Johnson was sentenced to four consecutive life sentences plus 70 years, and Thomas Johnson was sentenced to two consecutive life sentences.

Superior Court Judge Shawn LaGrua said the case was one of the most heinous crimes she's seen in her career.
