Boy, 16, hospitalized after stabbing in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ga. (AP) - A 16-year-old boy was hospitalized in Columbus after a stabbing.

Columbus police say the suspect in the crime is a 17-year-old boy. They stay the boy was stabbed Monday night and taken to St. Francis Hospital.

Police tell the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer that the younger boy was stabbed in the right upper chest. No further information on his condition was available early Wednesday.

The 17-year-old was charged with aggravated assault.
