MABLETON, Ga. (AP) - Authorities in Cobb County say two men have been charged with kidnapping and other crimes in the abduction of a
4-year-old boy from a trailer park.
Police say the men allegedly attacked the boy's mother Thursday morning with a stun gun at her home, bound her, then left with
Christian Guevera, demanding $100,000 for his return.
Cobb County police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce says the boy was found safe Thursday afternoon in a Gwinnett County apartment
complex.
Pierce says 26-year-old Jonathan Martinez Tapia and 32-year-old Jair Garcia Cruz of Austell also are charged with aggravated
assault, cruelty to children and attempted extortion. He says Cruz is an acquaintance of the child's mother.
The men were scheduled for a first court appearance Friday night.
