Celeste Smith

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Gwinnett County police say they are trying to identify the skeletal remains of a man found in woods near Georgia 316.

Police spokesman Cpl. David Schiralli said Tuesday the cause of death also isn't known. Schiralli said employees of a tree service were working in some woods near the Barrow County line when they found the scattered bones on Monday.

The remains have been sent to the state Crime Lab for identification and cause of death.
