2 people shot to death in southwest Atlanta

ATLANTA (AP) - Police say two people have been killed in a shooting in southwest Atlanta.

Atlanta police Sgt. Gregory Lyon tells The Associated Press that reports indicate that two people were killed in the gunfire on Asbury Lane.

Authorities say the shooting happened around 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Atlanta police Lt. Paul Guerrucci tells WSB-TV that the two men who were killed were found in a car.

Police say a third person was wounded in the shooting and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment. That person's condition wasn't immediately available.

Few other details were immediately available Wednesday afternoon.
