Fox In Focus - David's Story

Matt Jolley

Meet David Little… founder of Right Touch Family Development…a local non-profit organization…that fed over 26-thousand low income children last year during their summer feeding program. But as David says…their program offers more than just sandwiches.

“When those children are around we try to impart a lot of things as far as what they need to look forward to in the future. Not just come and eat…it’s education. What do you plan on doing when you get older? We use our music piece. We had a major production at the Grand Opera House. We take that music piece and we begin to develop the talents and skills that these young people have. So we start with a sandwich. But it goes from a sandwich to their destiny.”

This fall Right Touch plans to offer a feeding program for seniors. They’ll also continue to offer a snack program for children during the school year. But when it’s all said done David says he hopes people remember Right Touch for more than just their food.

“I want them to remember not so much that this man has given me a sandwich…this man has given me a meal. I want them to look back and say this man helped me understand my destiny. And he helped me get in a direction, whether it’s education or even a job or career. At a young age this man has helped me get on the right track. He started with a meal. He went from a meal to destiny…and that’s what’s most important to me.”

And that’s this weeks Fox In Focus.
