Fox In Focus - Bob's Story

Matt Jolley

MJ:
Meet Bob Cunningham. For over 30 years he’s been praying for our city. Bob…along with the late Neal Ham founded the local effort for the National Day of Prayer. Together they’ve offered prayers not only for the city of Macon but also for the state and our nation. And along the way…they convinced legions of others to join in the campaign.

Bob Cunningham / Local National Day of Prayer Organizer:
“We’ve not had the violence…so to speak…in our schools and among the youth. We’ve had plenty of problems…but that we’ve seen in other areas of the county. And I believe that because these people have been faithful to pray…and ask God to protect this city…and community…that He’s done it.”

MJ:
Throughout Bob’s life…prayer has been the hallmark of his success. He’s been a Marine…husband & father…and successful businessman…but says what he really hopes people remember about him…is faithfulness.

Bob Cunningham / Local National Day of Prayer Organizer:
“People forget about individuals. I don’t really have anything…to legacy to leave…except…I want to be faithful to what God has given me…and this nation…and to my children and my wife and family. Uh…I just….I just want to leave the knowledge that I tried to be faithful in these areas.”

MJ:
And that’s this weeks Fox In Focus.
