Those looking to start a small business should consider the opportunities in franchises. NewsCentral's Linnie Supall talks to a franchise consultant to learn more about the benefits of becoming a franchise owner.
Working under a boss comes with its fair share of challenges, so why not start your own business or better yet, a franchise?
“Franchising can be a great way for the person who’s employed but now wants to own their own business. They are still an independent business owner but they have a system and they have a process,” says Franchise Consultant Leslie Kuban.
Leslie Kuban is a franchise consultant; and for the last decade she's been helping people find the perfect fit when it comes to being a successful franchise owner.
“If anyone is considering to start their own business the first thing they should do is to question a person’s motivations for why they want to own their own business. That has a direct correlation to the success or lack of success they have once they're in their business,” says Kuban.
Working with a franchise consultant has proven to be very beneficial; steering you in the right path for your new business venture.
“I have an interesting statistic that 90% of the people that I helped go into business have said back to me that they would never have picked their franchise business off of a list on the internet or off of a franchise catalog,” added Kuban.
For instance, the owners of Fibrenew of Middle Georgia went to Leslie for assistance to get their franchise off the ground.
“As a franchise owner you have the opportunity to do business for yourself. Set your priorities instead of someone else dictating what those priorities are,” says Steve Odom of Fibrenew of Middle Georgia.
Despite a down economy, Leslie says franchises have been on the up and up!
“Franchise businesses have succeeded where independents have not because the franchises have a business system and a marketing plan to follow whereas independents with no business systems aren’t able to survive in a tough economy,” says Kuban.
Leslie Kuban offers her services for free to anyone interested in starting their own franchise. For more information call: (770) 579-3726.
