Woman Claims Authorities Shot and Killed Her Pit Bulls

Kendall Herold

Jody Law was devoted to her two dogs, 5 year old Boo Boo and 7 month old Nemi. But during a routine search of her home, Law says a Peach County Deputy cold heartedly shot her two award winning pit bulls.

"He just walked up to him, aimed the gun right to his head, and shot them both," explained Law.

And this wasn't the first time authorities have shot at her pets. A year ago, Peach County Deputies were serving another search warrant and that's when Boo Boo suffered his first gunshot wound, leaving behind a bloody scene.

"It went in his ear, through his ear, and down his neck," said Law.

Law claims her pit bulls didn't live up their reputation. She says they were sweet dogs, who barked at the officials but were never aggressive.

However, the Peach County Sheriff's Office tells NewsCentral a Deputy was acting in self defense while he was being attacked by the dogs.

Either way, Law doesn't find her pets fate to be justifiable.

"Regardless of what anyone may or may not have done here, it did not warrant them shooting my dogs. My dogs had nothing to do with it. It really outrages me that they did this, and did this in front of several people."

Law says her deceased pets were then dumped on the backside of her property- and she didn't know where their bodies were for two weeks. Tonight, Law says she's just seeking justice for her animals.

"I want them to take responsibility for what they've done. I can't bring my dogs back, neither one of them. But I just don't think they should get away with the way they've done this," said Law.

Routine search? Search warrant previously? Please. Your dogs don't deserve to be with you. They are in danger because of YOU, not their reputation as a breed.

I wonder why she did not have the dogs restrained when the police searched her home? I wasnt there of course, but if the dog jumped on him or was a threat I can see the cop shooting at the dog, I wouldnt want some pit bull coming at me like that

Pepper spray would have done the trick, they were in the home of the where the pet lived.Did the dogs open the door to address the cops? No, a person opened the door. Way to go super cop. Glad to know you are protecting all the perfect people. What was the search warrant about, was there a serial killer being cornered inside? But as we all know, guilty until proven innocent. If a similar incident had happened by a non cop(even by accident)would he be out on the street with no repercussions? No they would demand his head. Like I said before, way to go super cop.

there are 3 sides to a good story hers, theirs, and the truth.

hmmm, the dogs were shot "during a routine search". if the woman had not been doing something that would warrant a "routine search" of her property...her "beloved" dogs would probably still be alive. if...she had restrained her dogs before and during the search...her dogs would still be alive. she'll get no sympathy from me.

Sounds like a pretty good lawsuit if everything you are saying is true.

Boo and Nemi's Aunt said on Saturday, Sep 18 at 12:35 AM

So many search warrants have been issued because the police are listening to people like prpledoggy who doesn't have the slightest idea what he's talking about. Anybody that knew Boo and Nemi are talking about what an idiot he sounds like. He must be one of the officers who look like fools for busting in someone's door and killing their pets for for no good reason Look at the video does Boo look starved or mangy? NO! They should have left those animals where they asassinated them so they could have had a decent burial instead of throwing them out the way they did. Besides that's the issue here not what you think of Boo's owner. The way these animals were treated is animal cruelty in every sense of the word. Were he not a police officer he would have been put in jail. Ask the pet cemetery what kind of condition those animals were found in after rwo weeks of hoping she would give up trying to find out what happened to them.

Jody Law and her boyfriend are a couple of low life drug dealers. They live in filth and the "prize winning dogs" live in a filthy mud hole they call a yard, and are used to guard their dope hidden amidst the trash in the yard. The dogs were mangy, dirty and half starved to keep them mean. To bad law wasn't shot with the dogs.

Why do you have so many search warrants issued for your home is my question?
